Datsun Convertible Tops and Convertible Top Parts
The term Datsun was invented by Nissan Motors. It had acquired a
smaller company called DAT motors and used the Datsun term to apply
to certain models. The Datsun convertibles were all made by Nissan
Motors after 1962. The Datsun brand was dropped in 1986. We refer
to the Datsun convertibles and their tops using both Nissan and
Datsun in the names.
Datsun and Nissan Fairlady Convertible:
The earliest convertible in the Nissan Datsun line for which we offer replacement convertible tops is the Fairlady convertible. The Fairlady was introduced by Nissan in the Datsun line to compete with the popular British roadsters then in vogue.Frequent Model Changes:
Nissan made midyear and frequent endyear changes in the Datsun convertibles. Our site provides information to Datsun convertible owners to help select the correct replacement convertible top. Please read the information at each Datsun convertible page to be sure you are selecting the right Datsun convertible.Original Patterns:
Our factory secured original Datsun convertible tops for all its computer directed cutting patterns. Replacement Datsun soft tops are accurately cut and assembled.Datsun Convertible Top Boots:
For most of the Datsun convertibles we also offer the storage convertible top boot. More information is available at the links to the individual Datsun convertibles (see blue Datsun links on this page.)
