The Aston Martin requires a one-piece convertible top, where the plastic window is sewn in or heat-sealed. This is good news as it's relatively easy to install if you're a competent do-it-yourselfer. We offer the Aston Martin convertible top in two materials, but the material of choice is German Sonnenland Canvas, the original material for the Aston Martin convertible top. This canvas was also used in many Mercedes, Porsche, BMW, and other convertibles. it offers a rich appearance and promises to endure over time.

The Aston Martin convertible top comes in two materials. Here's what you need to know about each before you make your purchase:

German Sonnenland Canvas:The Aston Martin convertible top was originally made of German Sonnenland Canvas. This sturdy material was also used in many Mercedes, Porsche, BMW, and other convertibles. German Sonnenland canvas is a three-ply material made of a twill weave outer layer, a rubber inner layer, and a "dobby weave" (a composite of many sturdy materials) lining. This is the most durable--and the most recommended--convertible top for the Aston Martin.

Sonnendeck Twillfast Canvas:The Aston Martin convertible top is also offered in Sonnendeck Twillfast Canvas, a suitable substitute for the original German Sonnenland Canvas. Sonnendeck Twillfast canvas is a durable three-ply American-made canvas with textured backing. It offers excellent U.V. resistance and durability.

There are many factories making convertible tops. All use the same fabrics. Tops differ primarily in the quality control imposed during the manufacturing process. Accurate cutting, careful seam welding and avoiding of cheap modifications to achieve savings are what distinguish the best tops. We do not sell inferior tops.

We are a "bricks and mortar" business with our wholly owned factory and warehouse in South Kingstown, Rhode Island. The Peace Dale township within South Kingstown is where many early textile mills were built and thrived. We own our factory and warehouse off of State Route 108.
