Installing Convertible Tops:

Cadillac convertibles had tops designed the classic "two part" way, with the main top and the rear window section as two separate parts integrated during the installation. Many installers have used our convertible top manual as a guide to installing their own tops, including first time installers of tops.

There is no sewing involved in the installation of any Cadillac convertible top. A prospective candidate for do-it-yourself installation of a Cadillac convertible top should be able to use a compressor driven staple gun. Also he or she will be required to use contact cement to align fabric with frame sections and to glue together.
